His story
Sébastien Lecornu became a politician.
He completed his secondary studies at the private Catholic institution Saint-Adjutor de Vernon and holds a baccalaureate in economics and social sciences. He then obtained a law degree.
He initially wanted to become a soldier (Moon is opposition Mars in house 6) and is a member of the National Gendarmerie operational reserve with the rank of lieutenant.
His political career started when he was elected Mayor of Vernon in 2014; and in 2017 he was appointed Secretary of State to the Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition by Emmanuel Macron. His Catholic upbringing made him socially conservative.
On September 9, 2025 Lecornu was appointed Prime Minister of France – the fifth in less than 2 years – by his friend, president Emmanuel Macron.
Despite protests across the country and entrenched opposition from both left and right the president hopes his protégé can restore stability and push through a crucial 2026 budget aimed at cutting debt.
Lecornu’s appointment incited anger and was immediately followed by ‘block-everything’ anti-government protests (Uranus-Pluto) and on September 18 hundreds of thousands of workers took part in strike action after trade unions (Uranus-house 6) called for a day of protest against budget cuts. Teachers, train drivers, pharmacists and hospital staff were among those who went on strike, while teenagers blocked dozens of high schools for hours.
Whether Lecornu can restore stability remains to be seen but his birth chart doesn’t favor success. It does indicate that he has friends and supporters in high places.
