February 21, 2019: Hoda Muthana’s father, Ahmed Ali Muthana, files an emergency lawsuit, asking the US federal government to affirm Muthana’s citizenship and allow her to return to the United States.

On April 1, 2019 progressed Mercury moves to form a high-discord obstacle (square) aspect with birth chart Moon (her son) so things are not looking good. But in her birth chart the Moon and Mercury form an opportunity (sextile) aspect so the progressed square can produce a fortunate opportunity outcome, but she’ll need all the resourcefulness (Scorpio) she can muster to overcome the obstacles.
In November 2019, a federal judge ruled that she did not have American citizenship. In 2021, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the decision of the District Court, ruling that Muthana is not a US citizen. And in 2022, the United States Supreme Court declined to hear her appeal.
