Xi Jinping was born June 15, 1953 in Beijing. There’s no birth time but the planetary pattern in the sky that day provides valuable insight into his character.
That said, Xi is an authoritarian dictator who rules a despotic regime that has global intentions. He’s obsessed with power and control.
His thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era – shortened outside of China to ‘Xi Jinping Thought’ – was enshrined in the Chinese constitution at the last National People’s Congress in 2017. It’s a set of his personal ideals for the advancement of Chinese society that seeks to fashion a global order more congenial to autocrats.
On June 15, 1953 Saturn – planet of security, economy and loss – was conjunction Neptune – planet of schemes, idealistic visions and exaggerated expectations – in the sky, and both planets were retrograde.
Sun, planet of power and authoritarian control, was in the third decanate of Gemini (reason) and Xi the thinker can achieve great things through his thoughts, but his egocentric self-centeredness is inclined to have destructive consequences.
Sun was trine (luck) selfish and conservative Saturn and trine idealistic and socialistic Neptune; and Saturn and Neptune were conjunction in the third decanate of Libra – expiation. Xi is not who he appears to be and he will pay a high price for misusing his mental cleverness.
Sun was conjunction aggressive Mars (planet of war) in the first decanate of Cancer – moods. So he’s mediumistic, easily carried away with his emotions and combat ready.
Sun was sextile coercive and ruthless Pluto in the third decanate of Leo – ambition. He’s very ambitious and prepared to do anything to get what he wants.
Moon was in the first decanate of Leo – rulership. His desire to manage, control and dominate is always on his mind. It gets him out of bed every day.
Mercury was in the second decanate of Cancer – revelation. Xi is very mediumistic and often guided by inner-plane intelligences who think like he does. They’re getting him to carry out their wishes.
Mercury – planet of reasoned thought – was conjunction radical Uranus – planet of communism – and the Mercury-Uranus conjunction is square (obstacle) the Saturn-Neptune conjunction.
This high-discord set of obstacles brings out the worst in Mercury (unreliable thoughts and bad decisions), Saturn (worry, insecurity and loss), Uranus (unexpected change and discontentment) and Neptune (unrealistic schemes and confusion).
Mercury, Uranus and Neptune wrote his thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era but X has major obstacles hindering him attaining his national and international goals.
On the home front (in 2022) he’s pursuing a covid-zero policy which he sees as a ‘people’s war to stop the spread of the virus’. The policy which has saved lives is exacting a punishing toll on the Chinese people and the economy; but there’s growing discontentment and no sign of Xi ending his drastic lockdown measures any time soon. And observers believe his isolation of China will make the country weaker.
It’s likely that Jupiter – planet of goodwill, benevolence, moral integrity and religion – is his weakest planet. It makes a few, weak aspects.
Cancer will dominate his chart so Xi’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era were just his emotional-feelings turned into words and sentences. And with Mercury conjunction Uranus and square Saturn and Neptune his mind at times is a mess of crazy emotional thoughts going in all different directions.
His Achilles’ heel is rooted in poor judgments and dreadful decisions (Mercury).
