According to the Aquarian Age internet Gloria Steinem was an acclaimed writer, lecturer, activist and organizer: a trailblazer who fought for gender equality and women’s civil and reproductive rights for more than five decades. She pioneered many political movements, including the Coalition of Labor Union Women, Voters for Choice, Women’s Action Alliance, the National Women’s Political Caucus and the Women’s Media Center. And as a leader and spokesperson for the American feminist movement she inspired generations of women.
Born on March 25, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio she had a difficult childhood and did not go to school full-time until she was 12 years old. (Six days before she was born Mercury turned direct and its slower than average motion during her early life delayed the development of her academic learning).
Her parents separated when she was 11 (Mercury in house 4 [her father] – was opposition [separation] Neptune in house 10 [her mother]) and she lived with and took care of her mother who had a mental breakdown and suffered from depression.

She then moved to New York City in the early 1960s to start her career as a freelance writer (Mercury).
Her big break in 1963, when she worked as a Playboy bunny for 11 days for a story for Show magazine.
