Saturn square Uranus in the sky is a high-discord astrological energy-event that history reveals replicates here on Earth as a scarcity of work, economic hardship and high unemployment.
Saturn square Uranus in the sky 1929-31
The stock market crash in America on October 24, 1929 signaled the start of the Great Depression; and in November 1929 Saturn in the sky moved into orb of a square aspect with Uranus. Throughout 1930 and 1931 they formed four square aspects – on April 9, 1930, December 12, 1930, July 21, 1931 and October 17, 1931.
Then, in February 1930, soon after the in-sky Saturn-Uranus square aspect started, Saturn moved into orb of an opposition aspect with Pluto; and in 1931 they formed three opposition aspects – on February 17, July 8 and December 13.
Prior to the stock market crash in October 1929 there were 1.5 million unemployed workers in America and the unemployment rate was 3.2%. But in 1930 it rose to 8.7% and then it kept on rising. In 1931 it hit 15.9% – 8 million people were out of work.
Uranus square Pluto in the sky 1928-36
In April 1928 Uranus in the sky moved into orb of a square aspect with Pluto; and from then until June 1936 they formed five high-discord square aspects – on April 21, 1932, September 2, 1932, March 8, 1933, November 5, 1933 and January 18, 1934.
In 1932 unemployment in America hit 23.6% and in 1933 it peaked at 24.9% – 15 million people were unemployed. It remained at over 20% throughout 1934 and 1935.
The high-discord square dance that Uranus and Pluto performed in the sky from 1928 to 1936 was replicated here on Earth as the Great Depression; and at this time dance marathons became popular in America.
They had begun in 1923 as light-hearted endurance dance contests that provided contestants with food, shelter and the opportunity to win cash prizes. But during the Great Depression dance marathons were grueling, dark, exploitative events – They Shoot Horses Don’t They? – and that’s because Uranus square Pluto in the sky played the music that the dancers danced to.

During 2000 and 2001 a decline in economic activity (Saturn) saw a recession (Saturn) that mainly affected the European Union and the United States from March to November 2001.
The recession ended by 2002 but unemployment in America rose from 4.2% in January 2001, to 5.7% in January 2002 to 5.8% throughout 2003.
In May 2001 Saturn in the sky moved into orb of an opposition aspect with Pluto; and from then until June 2003 they formed three opposition aspects – on August 5, 2001, November 2, 2001 and May 26, 2002.

The global financial crisis (GFC) was a period of extreme stress in global financial markets and banking systems between mid 2007 and early 2009.
On August 9, 2007 when BNP Paribas in the US announced it was ceasing activity in three hedge funds that specialized in US mortgage debt (house 8) it sent a signal that there were tens of trillions of dollars worth of dodgy derivatives (Neptune) swilling round which were worth a lot less than the bankers had previously imagined (Neptune).
In the Aquarian Age chart in June 2007 progressed Jupiter – planet of banks and finances – had moved to form a conjunction aspect with birth chart Neptune > peak power date was November 22, 2011.
Twelve months later on September 15, 2008 the US government (Sun) allowed the investment bank Lehman Brothers to go bankrupt (Saturn). In the Aquarian Age chart progressed Sun was semisextile progressed Saturn.
What followed was financial-economic carnage. Many banks around the world collapsed or incurred large losses and relied on government support to avoid bankruptcy; and millions of people lost their jobs as the major advanced economies experienced their deepest recessions since the Great Depression.
The GFC-2008 recession (Saturn) in the US actually started in the first quarter of 2008 but the unemployment rate didn’t reach 5.5% until May 2008.
Then in September 2008 Saturn in the sky moved into orb of an opposition aspect with Uranus; and from then until October 2010 they formed five high-discord opposition aspects – on November 4, 2008, February 5, 2009, September 15, 2009, April 26, 2010 and July 26, 2010; and in October 2009 unemployment in America peaked at 10.2% – 11 million people were out of work.
Saturn square Uranus 2021-2022
You could say that the 2020 global recession started on January 30, 2020 when the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a global public health emergency.
In January 2020 Saturn in the sky moved into orb of a square aspect with Uranus and throughout March and April, 2020 Saturn at 1° Aquarius formed a square aspect with Uranus as 4-6°’s Taurus and at this time 30 million Americans applied for unemployment benefits.
Saturn and Uranus move out of orb of a square aspect in July 2020, but in November 2020 move back into orb and during 2021 they form three square aspects – on February 17, 2021 (at 7.04pm GMT), June 14, 2021 (at 10.08pm GMT) and December 24, 2021 (at 7.14am GMT).
Saturn and Uranus in the sky will square each other throughout 2022 and from September 17 to October 24, 2022 – with Saturn at 18-19°’s Aquarius and Uranus at 18° Taurus – the aspect will be very close to peak power.
So based upon the evidence provided by previous experience and current circumstance we are forced to conclude that Saturn square Uranus in the sky scripts a gloomy scenario here on Earth. It forecasts recessed economic conditions and high unemployment – twin problems that governments will have to deal with throughout 2021-22.
