March 13, 2020: WHO reports that there have been more than 132,000 cases of Coronavirus reported from 123 countries and territories.
The planets and Covid-19
Mars rules Covid-19; the war on the virus; the speed at which it spreads; the need for haste; the emergency responses; the risks involved; the doctors who treat the patients; and the manufacturing of biohazard suits, face masks, ventilators, respirators and test kits.
Saturn rules the Covid-19 pandemic; the fear and anxiety being felt; the elderly who are most at risk; precautionary measures of all kinds including social distancing; the cancellations, postponements and suspensions; the panic that causes share markets to plunge; and the economic losses and potential for recession. Saturn moves too slowly and delays doing things.

Neptune rules share markets; the investors who act on the good and bad news coming from Jupiter and Saturn; the uncertainty that markets detest; the aviation industry that is being battered by the pandemic; oil; and the confusion and chaos that Covid-19 is causing.
Pluto rules the drastic measures being taken to contain the virus; nationwide lockdowns; mass closures; the banning of mass gatherings; making failure to quarantine a crime; compulsory cooperation; dire warnings about the virus; the call for international cooperation; opaqueness by some countries; and the propaganda and misinformation that is being spread about coronavirus.

Epidemics occur regularly. They’re inclined to come from out left field and claim thousands of lives. It’s estimated that the 2009 flu pandemic claimed at least 230,000 lives; but currently there is no way for science to predict when a pandemic will occur.
Hermetic astrology proposes that Mars and Saturn are the culprits.
On September 15, 2019 progressed Mars – planet of viruses and viral infections – in the Aquarian Age chart moved to form a parallel aspect with birth chart Uranus – planet of sudden, unexpected events.
Mars was already parallel birth chart Saturn – planet of public health emergencies and pandemics – and parallel progressed Pluto – planet of drastic situations.
Progressed Mars parallel birth chart Saturn started February 12, 2017 and reaches peak power on August 25, 2020.
On November 18, 2019 progressed Moon in the Aquarian Age chart moved to form a parallel aspect with birth chart Saturn. It stimulated the major Mars-Saturn parallel aspect; reached peak power on February 8, 2020; and timed the emergence of an unknown virus in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province in China, in mid December 2019.
On December 26, 2019 a cluster of cases was observed and on December 31 a public notice was released by Wuhan Municipal Health Commission.
On January 7, 2020 progressed Moon in the Aquarian Age chart moved to form an opposition aspect with progressed Mars. It stimulated all the major Mars progressions.
On January 11 China reported its first death from coronavirus; and on January 12 the first case outside of China was reported in Thailand.

On March 11, 2020 when Covid-19 was declared a pandemic Mars was conjunction Pluto in the sky.
By now the virus was racing around the globe; humanity was at war (Mars) with an invisible enemy (Pluto); and health experts could only best guess when the Covid-19 pandemic would peak.
