Saturn’s sign transit and covid-19

Saturn is the planet of disease, recessed economic activity, poverty, hardship, austerity, loss, fear and restraint and from December 20, 2017 to March 22, 2020 his transit of Capricorn had some influence over trends and events related to business, business practices, industry and industry practices.

On March 22, 2020 Saturn moved to Aquarius where his restriction, loss and security threats had some influence on trends and events related to human rights, invention and technology. And on July 1, 2020 Saturn moved back to Capricorn where his hardship and poverty again had a loss influence on business and business activity.

Meanwhile in mid-December 2019 an unknown virus emerged in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province in China. In January-February 2020 covid-19 was spreading fast around the world and on March 11, 2020 the WHO declared a pandemic.

In response to covid-19 countries were compelled to take drastic action and the world went into lockdown: And our event-trend forecast for Saturn’s transit of Capricorn – recessed business activity; cost saving measures; business failures and bankruptcies – was fulfilled.

And when Saturn was in Aquarius from March 22, 2020 to July 1, 2020 many governments took advantage of the covid-pandemic to impose restrictions to human rights and personal freedoms. These three months provide a preview of what’s inclined to occur during Saturn’s major transit of Aquarius.

Saturn transits Aquarius in 2020

Freedom House counts 80 countries where the quality of democracy and respect for human rights has deteriorated since the pandemic began. The list includes both strong-man dictatorships that have become harsher and democracies where human rights standards have deteriorated.

The human rights watch-dog argues that global freedom has been declining since just before the financial crisis of 2007-08 and covid-19 has accelerated this pre-existing trend in several ways.

In April 2020 Reporters Without Borders counted 38 countries using the coronavirus as an excuse to harass critical media and in October Freedom House reckons the number had increased to 91.

This decline in global freedom has its astrological script in the Aquarian Age chart. In May 1986 the equinox moved to form a square aspect with progressed Pluto and by our estimates this high-discord energy event reached peak power in late October, 2013 and comes to an end in December 2042.

Covid-19 did pose a grave and fast-moving threat so governments had to assume emergency powers to protect public health, but they easily abused their new powers. By selectively banning protests on the grounds they might spread the virus they also silenced critics and used their emergency measures to harass dissidents.

Major protest movements in India, Chile, France and Hong Kong came to a sudden stop when covid-19 gripped the world; and with the world’s attention focused on covid-19 autocrats and dictators were able to engage in human-rights abuses and restrict human freedoms knowing that their abusive power behavior would get little objection and scant attention from the world’s media.

Then on July 1, 2020 Saturn returned to Capricorn and from then till December 17, 2020 his influence – recessed economic activity, hardship and loss due to covid-19 – again impacted business and business activity.

On December 17, 2020 when Saturn leaves Capricorn and moves to Aquarius the restriction and loss to global freedoms that was evident in 2020 is inclined to continue as governments and dictatorships use the covid-19 pandemic and other security threats to restrict the rights of their citizens.
