The event here on Earth defined by an energy-event in astrology is not inevitable.
The environment here on Earth plays an equal role in what eventuates and at different times the environmental setting can negate or facilitate the predisposed astrological event.
When the environmental resistance to an event mapped by an energy-event in the sky or a progressed aspect in a cycle chart is reduced the chances of it manifesting here on Earth increases.
A flu epidemic, for example, has an astrological marker but it can only occur when the marker and the environmental setting synchronize and operate together.
The ‘flu’ marker is a progressed aspect involving Mars – the planet of viral infections – and a progressed aspect involving Saturn – the planet of disease and epidemics.
An epidemic is a widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time; and an epidemic becomes a pandemic when it spreads throughout the world.
Spanish flu
The influenza pandemic of 1918, colloquially known as Spanish flu, was a particularly deadly influenza pandemic. The world population back then was about 1.8 billion and it infected 500 million people.
The death toll has been estimated at 50 million – 3 times as many people as in the great-war – but could have been as high as 100 million. It was one of the deadliest epidemics in human history.
Researchers have now identified the epicenter of Spanish flu as a troop staging and hospital camp in Étaples, France. It was there in December 1917 that military pathologists reported the onset of a new disease with a high mortality rate.
World War 1 was raging and the hospital treated thousands of victims of chemical attacks, and other war casualties, making it an ideal site for spreading the respiratory virus.
100,000 soldiers were in transit through the camp every day. It was also home to a live piggery and poultry was regularly brought in for food supplies from surrounding villages.
The disease was first observed in America in January 1918 and the first recorded death occurred on March 4. By March 11 the virus had reached Queens, New York.
In May 1918 an outbreak occurred in Spain – that’s how it got its name – and five percent of the victims died within two or three days.
In August 1918, a more virulent strain appeared simultaneously in Brest, France, Freetown, Sierra Leone and Boston, America. Then after this lethal second wave new cases dropped abruptly to almost nothing.
In October 1918 twelve thousand people died in Philadelphia and by November 11 influenza had almost disappeared from the city.

These progressed aspects were operating worldwide but influenced different houses in different charts.
Progressed Mars parallel birth chart Sun reached peak power February 12, 1921; and progressed Sun semisquare birth chart Saturn reached peak power May 12, 1918 > end date was May 11, 1919.
The disease went global in January 1918 with progressed Moon conjunction progressed Mars. This Moon-Mars aspect reached peak power on February 1, 1918 and when it ended on February 27 progressed Moon moved to form a semisextile aspect birth chart Mars > peak power date was March 24. So the Moon-Mars stimulation was maintained from January 5 to April 18, 1918.
Meanwhile on February 16 progressed Moon had formed a sesquisquare aspect with birth chart Moon – planet of the common people > peak power date was March 13.
On May 31, 1918 progressed Moon formed a semisextile aspect with progressed Sun stimulating the Sun-Saturn semisquare. This Moon-Sun aspect reached peak power on June 26 and ended July 23.
On September 9, 1918 progressed Moon formed a square (obstacle) with progressed Neptune > peak power date was October 3.
Then in November 1918 with progressed Moon sextile birth chart Jupiter (peak power date was November 3) and inconjunct birth chart Uranus – planet of sudden happenings (peak power date was November 8) – the number of new infections dropped abruptly.
Pandemics since 1918
In 1957-58 and 1968-69 two lesser flu pandemics occurred. Each involved a new flu subtype and raced around the world. Together they killed three million people.
In the 1970s it was found that flu viruses come from wild birds – like ducks, waterfowl and shorebirds. Then in 1997 the H5N1 virus strain jumped to humans.
In May 1997 a 3 year old boy in Hong Kong died of the virus. All told 17 people contracted the infection – 5 died. The Hong Kong Government ordered the killing of 1.5 million chickens and the H5N1 virus was eradicated.
Then on November 16, 2002, an outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) began in China’s Guangdong province. By the end of 2003 SARS had spread to South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and Indonesia and in July-August 2004 the virus began killing people in Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. That’s when the world got scared. In 2004 forty million chickens were killed or died of flu in Vietnam.
Expert warnings
For many years experts in the field claim the world is overdue for its next flu epidemic and governments are preparing and researchers are working on a vaccine. But no one really knows what might happen.
Is H5N1 the main threat or are there other bird-flu viruses capable of infecting humans?
The great fear is that an outbreak in a remote region where the infrastructure to contain it is lacking could spell disaster. If not contained within a few weeks a virus can spread quickly and make its way by plane or ship to every country in the world.
The experts warn that a truly horrible pandemic will hit some day and the science of astrology reveals that Mars and Saturn in the Aquarian Age chart will time its arrival.
