Harmony describes an influence that is harmonious, beneficial and fortunate.
It moves in the direction of fortunate events and conditions.
Harmony is primarily influenced by the harmonious aspects.
There are 3 harmonious aspects – the trine, sextile and semisextile.
They directly influence the harmony of the planets which in turn influences the harmony of the signs and houses.
And the harmonious features of your character express the same level of harmony as their birth chart markers.
Discord
Your birth chart expresses discord that can be measured.
Discord describes an influence that is discordant, detrimental and unfortunate.
It moves in the direction of unfortunate events and conditions, but does not compromise ability.
Discord is primarily influenced by the discordant aspects.
There are four discordant aspects – the opposition, square, sesquisquare and semisquare.
They directly influence the discord of the planets which in turn influences the discord of the signs and houses.
And the discordant features of your character express the same level of discord as their birth chart markers.
Quantifying power, harmony and discord
You can inspect and examine your birth chart to estimate the relative strength of each planet, aspect, sign and house, but it’s an uncertain process with a high degree of unreliability.
But the uncertainty is eliminated with mathematics and measurement.
What is needed is a set of calculations to accurately measure the power, harmony or discord of each planet, aspect, sign and house in your chart.
