The application of astrodynes to any birth chart measures the power, harmony or discord of each planet, aspect, sign and house as x number of astrodynes, harmodynes or discordynes.

The measured scores for the aspects are given on the chart’s aspect grid and the measured scores for the planets, signs and houses are listed on the chart’s astrodyne report.

The astrodyne report

The report has 3 main headings – PLANETS, HOUSES and SIGNS – and each heading has 3 subheadings – Power, % and Harmony.

In each instance it’s a sliding scale of power scores so the planet, house or sign with the most power is listed first.

Individual power scores are converted into % values and harmony is identified by a + (plus) and discord by a – (minus).

The astrodyne report is easy to read and understand.

The PLANET power summary

The planet power summary is titled PLANETS.

Each planet – in any birth chart – has a different power score and the Power column of the PLANETS power summary lists their power scores in descending power order.

The planet with the highest score is listed first.

In the column headed % these power scores are converted into a percentage of the chart’s total power.

These percentage figures are what users work with.

In the column headed Harmony the net harmony or net discord score of each planet is recorded. A minus (-) sign indicates discord.

The HOUSE power summary

The house power summary is titled HOUSES.

Each house – in any birth-chart – has a different power score and the Power column of the HOUSES power summary lists their power scores in descending power order.

The house with the highest score is listed first.

In the column headed % these power scores are converted into a percentage of the chart’s total power.

These percentage figures are what users work with.

In the column headed Harmony the net harmony or net discord score of each house is recorded. A minus (-) indicates discord.

The SIGN power summary

The sign power summary is titled SIGNS.

Each sign – in any birthchart – has a different power score and the Power column of the SIGNS power summary lists their power scores in descending power order.

The sign with the most power is listed first.

In the column headed % these power scores are converted into a percentage of the chart’s total power.

These percentage figures are what users work with.

In the column headed Harmony the net harmony or net discord of each sign is recorded. A minus (-) sign indicates discord.

The harmony and discord scores are net figures

The primary contributors to a planet’s harmony or discord are the aspects it forms with the other planets.

So its influence is rarely exclusively harmonious or discordant.

The number recorded in the Harmony column of the PLANETS power summary is the planets net harmony or net discord.

A net harmony score indicates that the planet’s harmodyne count exceeds its discordyne count and a net discord score indicates that the discordynes exceed the harmodynes.

Each planet’s net harmony or net discord score contributes to the net harmony or net discord of the house in which it is located or rules by cusp rulership and the sign in which it is located or rules by sign rulership.
