Number crunching

A computer program calculates your birth chart and computes its astrodynes.

The technology provides a time-efficient way of doing the calculations and you don’t need to know and understand the various principles involved.

But you do need to know how to crunch the numbers and make sense of the numerical values that are given each planet, aspect, sign and house in your birth chart.

This does not require high-level mathematical expertise.

You don’t have to be a mathematical whiz-kid to understand what the numbers mean.

All you need is a working knowledge of basic mathematical concepts and some understanding of number-values and how they are used to enhance the meaning of the astro-data.

Even so, there’s a good chance that numbers don’t get you excited.

You’re using numbers all the time

Numbers guide you’re daily life and living.

Time measures what you do and when you do it.

The temperature measures what you wear.

Your weight and waistline measure what you eat.

The quantity and cost measures how much you buy and how much you spend.

Numbers measure your daily life but your birth chart is not measured in hours, minutes and seconds. It’s not measured in inches and feet or centimetres and meters. It’s not measured in Fahrenheit or centigrade and it’s not measured in shillings and pounds or dollars and cents or pints or litres.

It’s measured in astrodynes, harmodynes and discordynes.

Basic concepts

The astrodynes measure the relative strength or power of each planet, aspect, sign and house in your birth chart as x number astrodynes and their number scores allow you to make comparative judgments regarding what’s strong and what’s weak.

An aspect with 9 astrodynes has more power than an aspect with 4 astrodynes.

A planet with 53 astrodynes has more power and a stronger influence than a planet with 37 astrodynes.

A planet, aspect, sign or house with a higher astrodyne score has more relative power and a stronger influence.

This is the basic concept to remember when crunching astrodyne scores.

But it is better to work with the percentage values given each planet, house and sign.

You know that 10% is more than 5% so a planet, aspect, sign or house with a higher percentage will have the stronger influence.

And the same rule applies to the harmodyne and discordyne measurements.

More harmodynes equate to more fortune, ease and comfort.

More discordynes equate to more misfortune and struggle.

The numbers allow you to identify harmony and work to maximize its benefits and to identify discord and work to minimize its potential for mishap and misfortune.

When it comes to assessing your character you have to do your own thinking and the numbers are there to help you think clearer.

They allow you to develop a mental image of your not-conscious mental world and the thought-cell activity that defines your feelings, thoughts, intelligence type, actions and life story.
