Artic terns, bar-tailed godwits, ruby-throated humming birds and sailors use celestial navigation and you can use your own special map of the heavens to navigate your way.

You’re on a journey and you can use your birth chart as a life-guide. It provides priceless information but you first need to know how to read the map. Astrology for Aquarius is here to help.
Your birth chart
Your being here has meaning and purpose: you’re not a random accident. And your birth chart is not a chance arrangement of planets and zodiac signs. It’s a map that details your backstory: the progress your soul has made so far in acquiring intelligence and ability through experience.
The map must be constructed correctly. Everything rests on its authenticity.
Your birth chart can be likened to a bulletin board of coded messages that illuminate your life.
It maps your character, intelligence type and innate aptitudes and a life journey that ensures their continual development.
Your birth chart is written in the language of the stars so you need to learn and understand the language. To read it well you need an understanding of the science of the soul and stars. You’ll need to acquire some proficiency in the science and art of astrological map reading.
The science is incorporated into a systematic procedure that you can apply to manage your life, health and mental and emotional wellbeing.
The planets, aspects, signs and houses are assigned numbers for two reasons.
First, they permit quantitative and qualitative comparisons; and second, they clarify and enhance the meaning of the astrological messages. You can only start mining your chart’s data when you give each astrological marker a power and harmony or discord score.
The measurements allow you to make more reliable judgments regarding yourself. They’re meant to be consulted and used.
To scientifically study something it has to be observed and measured and your character and life can only be observed and measured by you.
Your objective is to look at the planets in your chart, and their sign and house locations, and not only see your character but a range of possibilities that encompass your entire life.
Your birth chart is context specific. It’s a personal reference so Astrology for Aquarius is doing something that’s never been done before. We’re intervening and suggesting that the best person to see into your life and to know what is best for you, is you. You’re the only person who can make an accurate assessment of your chart’s data as it applies to you.
Your birth chart allows you to read your mind and there are lots of mind-readers who think they can do it without a map. It’s the age when subjective self-knowledge and objective empathy blunders towards finding solutions to mental health problems.
You have to make your way in the world and your birth chart provides you with a set of directions. You can use it to guide your life and endeavors so you’re relying on it to provide accurate data on which you will make enormously important decisions.
Birth chart information must be understood before you can engage with your progressed chart in a meaningful way. It reveals what’s coming up next on your life journey. Your life unfolds as progressed aspects form in your chart. Events occur.
Navigating your life is a map-reading exercise and this requires birth chart literacy.
Strive to enhance your birth chart literacy
In 2026 the level of birth chart literacy is appallingly low. It’s more than knowing your Sun sign, Moon sign and ascendant sign. It’s about being able to navigate the maze of life-data that’s encoded in your birth chart and take charge of your life to reach your full potential as a human soul.
So, it’s in your best interest to enhance your birth chart literacy: it puts you in the know. It puts you on the frontline when understanding who you are and your place in the universe.
Birth chart literacy aka life-literacy allows you to read chart data, understand what it means and apply it to achieve a best possible life outcome: intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.
You can access and understand powerful life information in a sustainable way.
You can understand the cause and effect of your behavior.
The only person who can change your behavior is you and birth chart literacy allows you to know what destructive behaviors need to be changed. They’re the primary cause of all your misfortunes and difficulties.
Birth chart literacy ensures a better physical and mental health outcome.
Acquiring birth chart literacy takes time and effort and Astrology for Aquarius is here to help no matter how long it takes.
It provides knowledge acquired by the Church of Light’s various research department as presented in the Hermetic system of astrology.
Optimizing birth chart literacy was an initiative of Elbert Benjamine’s Church of Light and Astrology for Aquarius advocates for birth chart literacy. It renders the opinions of the fortune-tellers, their websites and the books they write worthless.
Hermetic astrology provides information about you and your life that’s not available from any other source. You can critically appraise its quality and compare it with what others have to offer. The internet provides all kinds of information that can be true or false and you, the discerning thinker, have to work out what’s right for you.
Hermetic astrology is a compendium of astrological science that you can apply to your birth chart to learn about yourself.
Your journey of self-discovery requires an understanding of your birth chart and you should strive to enhance your birth chart literacy.
Hermetic astrology puts you in the driver’s seat. It puts you in charge of your life, health and happiness. Soul-deep information gets to the core of your true self.
It offers a whole new way of thinking about you and your life. You can review your consciousness development: how you got to be the way you are and to monitor your future development using statistically researched data.
As a child of an evolving universe with a never-ending story you’ll be taking in self-knowledge forever. Every new experience provides new knowledge.
Your parents and teachers took care of your formal education. They prepared you for life in your birth place culture. But they didn’t teach you about yourself. They didn’t know who you were, how you would think and feel, how you would view the world, what you would be good at, and what you would like and dislike. Only your birth chart knows about these things.
And to know what your birth chart knows and to actively engage with its data, navigate your progressed chart, and strive for a personal best performance everyday requires an enhanced level of birth chart literacy aka map-reading skills. You can move into a new field of self-understanding and way of living; and leave old ways of thinking and living behind.
