Elbert made this plain in March 1939 when he wrote: ‘I believe relatively few ministers and teachers of The Church of Light realize the exact function and intended limitations of the Brotherhood of Light lessons. The creation of a computer program that simply assessed birth charts was a foolish development that left users none the wiser and acknowledged that Hermeticians who were qualified to teach Hermetic astrology weren’t.
