Hermetic astrology teaches that your soul was brought into existence aka differentiated for the purpose of being educated to become a worker in God’s Great Evolutionary Plan and this requires training.
At this time it was endowed with a definite polarity, or quality and after its differentiation its life impulse carried it down through the lower spiritual world and the astral world till it incarnated in the mineral realm of the Earth.
Here it learned how to handle the chemicals of higher forms of life – secretion and assimilation depending upon such selectivity.
Then to gain sensitivity it had experiences in the vegetable kingdom and to develop simple consciousness it had experiences in the animal kingdom below the human. And to acquire self-consciousness it incarnated as a human soul.
Your soul accomplished its evolution by being attracted to one form, dwelling for a time in it and by undergoing certain experiences it acquired new qualities it did not previously have. It then repelled this form and passed to the astral world.
Then on the astral there is a period where other experiences are added and the physical experiences are assimilated and further organized.
These assimilated experiences give your soul the ability to attach itself to a slightly more complex form and its unconscious or astral intelligence enabled it to organize about itself and grow, the more complex human life-form in which it now resides.
In its ascent through innumerable lower forms of physical life the awareness and emotions accompanying its experiences built thought-elements into its high-velocity astral body.
