Around every two years Mars in the sky moves to form a conjunction aspect with Uranus, so there’s plenty of historical evidence available that can be collected and filed in a Mars-Uranus dossier.
Such data provides a wealth of astrological information that can be used when making future forecasts; and the evidence pertaining to Mars-Uranus conjunctions, operating in an environmental setting specified by time and place, reveals they herald earth-shaking moments.
The American Civil War
On May 18, 1860 in the United States of America the Republican National Congress nominated Abraham Lincoln for President and during the election campaign the Democrat Party split into southern and northern wings and hatred flared up between the South and North.
On November 6, 1860 Lincoln was elected President. He won by a clear majority, but the southern states were alarmed: An anti-slaver was to occupy the White House.
On March 4 1861 Lincoln was inaugurated as President and with the fear of war, ever present, he took the reins of government.
Within a month of his inauguration, on April 1, 1861, Mars in the sky moved into orb of a conjunction aspect with Uranus.
The aspect reached peak power on April 17 and the chart for Washington – April 17, 1861 at 7.01pm LMT (38N53; 77W01) – had the Mars-Uranus conjunction in house 10 (the President).
The conjunction at 9 Gemini 35 was conjunction birth chart Uranus in the US chart.
Mars conjunction Uranus Washington – April 17,1861
In April 1861 Union troops were defending Fort Sumpter at Charlestown Harbor, North Carolina and Lincoln had the option of sending in more troops or ‘food for hungry men’. He chose the food option and notified the south of his intentions. But Jefferson Davis interpreted this as an act of war and ordered the destruction of the fort before the supply ships arrived.
On April 12, 1861 – with Mars conjunction Uranus in the sky – Confederate batteries opened fire and the American Civil War began.
The South had been the aggressor and on April 15 Lincoln retaliated. He declared war (Mars) and immediately called for 75,000 volunteers to preserve the Union.
World War 2
On September 3, 1939 World War 2 commenced when Great Britain and France formally declared war on Germany and on December 8, 1941 the US declared war on Japan following the Japanese attack on the US military Base, Pearl Harbor.
On December 11, 1941 Germany and Italy declared war on the US and the US declared war on Germany and Italy. But the conflict that claimed nearly 60 million lives still had years to run.
On July 29, 1945 Mars in the sky moved into orb of a conjunction aspect with Uranus. The aspect reached peak power on August 17, 1945 and the chart for Washington – August 17, 1945 at 11.59am EST (38N53; 73W01) had the Mars-Uranus conjunction in house 8 (death).

The chart for Tokyo – August 18, 1945 at 1.59am JST, (35N42; 139E46) – had the Mars-Uranus conjunction in house 12 (secret, undercover activity and self-undoing).

On August 6, 1945 – with Mars conjunction Uranus in the sky – the U.S B-29 Superfortress, Enola Gay, dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese industrial city of Hiroshima.
The city was leveled with an estimated 100,000 people killed instantly. Another 100,000 died later from radiation sickness and burns. And on August 9, a second bomb was dropped on the Japanese city of Nagasaki.
The Arab Spring
More recently an earth-shaking moment occurred in the Middle East.
The Arab World consists of 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa and the Arab Spring refers to a series of anti-government protests, uprisings and armed rebellions that spread across the Arab World in early 2011.
The movement originated in Tunisia in December 2010 and quickly took hold in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
On December 14, 2010 at 4.13am GMT Mars in the sky was conjunction Pluto and 3 days later, on December 17, in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia Mohammed Bouazizi – a 26 year old fruit and vegetable seller – had his produce cart confiscated by police.
When he resisted the police beat him up. He then doused himself in paint thinner and set himself on fire (Mars) and Tunisia erupted.
The fruit seller’s act of defiance highlighted boiling (Mars) discontentment (Uranus) over living standards, police violence, rampant unemployment and a lack of human rights and by December 27 anti-government protests had spread to Tunis.
On January 4, 2011 Mohammed Bouazizi died from his burns and on January 14 the hated dictator Ben Ali fled to Saudi Arabia.
Then, inspired by events in Tunisia, activists (Uranus) in Egypt called for an uprising in their own country to protest against poverty (Saturn) unemployment (Saturn), government corruption (Pluto) and the hated dictator Hosni Mubarak (Pluto).
On January 25, 2011, in Cairo, Suez and Alexandria, Egyptians took to the streets and on February 4 thousands of demonstrators gathered in Cairo’s Tahrir Square. On February 11 Hosni Mubarak resigned and handed over power to the army (Mars).
Then on March 18, 2011 Mars in the sky moved into orb of a conjunction aspect with Uranus. The aspect reached peak power on April 3 at 8.51pm GMT and by then the cry for freedom and liberty was resonating throughout the Arab World.
As Mars closed in on Uranus there were violent protests, armed conflicts and uprisings in Libya, Syria, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Yemen and Ivory Coast.
The Arab Spring that started with one man’s act of defiance had now escalated to embrace millions of human souls each craving freedom, autonomy, personal liberty and the right to self-determination – the anthem of Uranus.

At Damascus, Syria the Mars-Uranus conjunction was in house 4 (land, cities and those opposed to the administration). Sun, Jupiter, Moon and Mercury are there too.
Pluto – the planet of mass protests and drastic developments – was in house 1 (the people) and Saturn – the planet of loss, selfishness and hardship – was in house 10 (Bashar al-Assad and business).
The amount of opposition to the dictator Assad, indicated by the planets in house 4, was colossal. But selfish Saturn in house 10 wasn’t going anywhere.
The Syrian Civil War began with a day of outrage on March 15, 2011.
It escalated on April 1 in Douma, a working class suburb of Damascus, when citizen’s chanting ‘freedom, freedom’ were fired on by police. Eleven people were killed.
Since then it’s estimated that over 400,000 people have been killed in the Syrian Civil War.
So the historical evidence reveals that when Mars moves to form a conjunction aspect with Uranus in the sky that earth-shaking moments are destined to occur here on Earth.
