An in-sky aspect has a long forecast period that’s determined by its orb of influence and the rate of motion of the faster moving planet.
Each in-sky aspect has a start, peak and end date.

Cycle chart aspects
A progressed aspect in a global cycle chart is formed when the chart’s ruling planet moves to within 1° of an aspect with any planet and/or ascendant or Midheaven in the chart. And the aspect is live while the progressed planet remains within this 1° orb of influence.
The aspect’s time-frame or forecast period is determined by the progressed planets rate of motion.
An aspect formed by progressed Jupiter in the Jupiter cycle has on average a 10 day forecast period; an aspect formed by progressed Saturn in the Saturn cycle has on average a 26 day forecast period; and an aspect formed by progressed Uranus in the Uranus cycle has on average a 40 day forecast period.
In each instance a progressed parallel aspect has a far longer forecast period.
Progressed aspects formed by progressed Neptune and progressed Pluto in their respective cycle charts have much longer forecast periods ranging from months to years.
