You and your environment have to operate together and the smoother the fit the better.

A comfortable fit ensures contentment, peace of mind, mental wellbeing and good health.

An uncomfortable fit signs for discontentment, mental dissonance and disturbed mental wellbeing that can result in sickness and disease.

An unpleasant environmental setting is a stressor that you have to deal with. It indicates that you’re doing something wrong. And to establish or re-establish mental harmony you’ll have to change your behavior.
