Explainer: Forecast periods in global astrology
The horrific surprise attack by Hamas on Israeli civilians on October 7, 2023 brought a long running cycle of violence (Mars) over land (Saturn) to a crisis tipping point. It was a major Mars-Uranus – Mars-Pluto event that dominated the news media, started conversations, launched protests and divided the world.
In the Aquarian Age chart progressed Mars was conjunction birth chart Saturn and parallel birth chart Uranus and progressed Pluto; and progressed Sun (world leaders) and progressed Mercury (conversations) were parallel birth chart Mars.
These major aspects in the Aquarian Age chart map energy events that have long time frames and the major events they script are more inclined to occur when their signature planets form an aspect in the sky or in one or more of the major cycle charts.
In the 2023 Sun cycle the Sun is square Mars which prompted us to write: 'It’s sending a war-warning and puts the global spotlight on strife, disputes, confrontation, conflict, missiles, violence, shootings, explosions, fires and accidents. The dominant powers are on a war-footing. There’s a sense of danger, haste and urgency. Harshness, brutality and hate are widespread.' The chart’s forecast period, March 20, 2023 to March 20, 2024, indicates a 12-month time-frame during which a major conflict could erupt.
Hamas is a Lower-Pluto terrorist group that’s highly prone to respond to Mars-Pluto energy events in the sky and from September 24 to October 23, 2023 Mars was square Pluto. It reached peak power on October 9 and reduced the 7 year time-frame of the major Mars-Pluto parallel aspect in the Aquarian Age chart and the 12 month time-frame of the Sun-Mars square aspect in the Sun cycle to a short 30 day time period.
On October 7, 2023 – the day Hamas (Pluto) launched its surprise (Uranus) attack (Mars) on Israel – progressed Pluto was parallel Mars and Uranus in the Pluto cycle; and progressed Uranus was sesquisquare Pluto in the Uranus cycle.
There was no progressed aspect to Mars in the Sun cycle and the event was timed by progressed Mars inconjunct Mercury in the Mars cycle which was at peak power at dawn (Israeli time) on October 7.
The brutality of the event reveals how low the consciousness of some human souls can sink.

On October 11 progressed Pluto was square Jupiter in the Pluto cycle but with the Hamas atrocity and its aftermath receiving saturation media coverage it was difficult to detect any important Pluto-Jupiter events that may have occurred.
