This year’s El Niño officially began on June 11 and is forecast to strengthen through late 2026, peaking in the November–December–January 2026–27 season.
September 3, 2026: The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) releases the latest data showing that it could be the strongest for more than 70 years and last until at least February 2027.
UN head António Guterres warned: ‘The world has entered a ‘danger zone of extreme weather’ as the impacts of El Niño start to be felt globally. The science leaves no room for doubt: the planet is in uncharted waters, and those waters are heating up.’
El Niño is a natural weather phenomenon that develops in the Pacific Ocean and is linked to a change in wind patterns. It allows warm water to spread eastwards and releases heat into the atmosphere, pushing some regions into drought whilst others experience stronger typhoons and flooding.
In the Pacific’s key monitoring region, surface temperatures have been well over 2C above average in recent weeks, but monthly sea surface temperatures could get close to 4C above average. This would make it the strongest El Niño since at least 1950.
The UN Climate Conference – COP31 – will be held in Antalya, Turkey from November 9–20, 2026 with Mars conjunction Jupiter in the sky.
October 2, 2026: The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Ebola outbreak has now killed more than 4,000 people making it the worst epidemic in the country’s history. Confirmed cases have reached 8,300 across seven provinces. 19.000 people fled an Ebola-hit camp housing a transit center for infected patients in Bunai, Ituri Province – the epicenter of the outbreak – when it was burned by soldiers looking for weapons. The government continues to struggle to contain the outbreak. Mis and disinformation about the virus is widespread. Kenya is on high alert with the government intensifying Ebola preparedness efforts following the death of the country’s first confirmed Ebola patient, amid growing concern over lapses in border screening measures.

October 20, 2026: Progressed Sun opposition birth chart Neptune in America’s chart starts. Sun, planet of politics, governance, political leaders and Donald Trump is in house 11 (Congress). The opposition aspect maps high-discord political conflict and separation. Neptune is the planet of oil, inflation, deception, lies, conspiracy theories, bribery, blackmail, fraud, swindles, graft, share market booms, busts, the watering of stocks, aviation, sea related industries, drama, dramatic art, films, scandal and toxicity. It sews chaos, confusion and uncertainty. Major events involve politics, Donald Trump, other political leaders, Congress – senators and representatives – and Neptune.
The aspect immediately experiences major stimulation with progressed Moon parallel progressed Neptune at peak power on October 28. On November 15 progressed Moon parallel birth chart Neptune starts > peaks January 1, 2027; and on December 18 progressed Moon inconjunct birth chart Neptune starts > peaks January 11, 2027. The major new Neptune cycle starts February 26, 2027.
With Mercury square Neptune in his chart Donald Trump is a world champion wishful thinker. He’s an A-grade fantasist – he thinks he won the 2020 election – who can imagine all sorts of stuff most of it false.
October 27, 2026: Israel votes. It’s the only thing on Israeli minds. It looks messy. Whoever wins has to form a coalition. Politics in Israel is toxic.
November 3, 2026: In America voters cast their ballots in the Midterm elections with anger, strife, acrimony, bitterness and violence (Mars) forecast. Mars rules the national guard and police. Mars conjunction Jupiter in the sky forecasts heated contention and disputes ending up in the courts. There’s no goodwill. The spiritually bankrupt, cruel and vile, president is fighting for his political life spreading lies, chaos and confusion.
This battle is not like a presidential contest. It pits the unpopular president against the American people and with progressed Sun square birth chart Mars in house 1 of America’s chart the people are angry. Progressed Moon is parallel progressed Mars in house 5 and progressed Mars is conjunction ascendant in America’s Mars cycle chart on November 3. The first half of November is saturated in Mars energy. Mars conjunction Jupiter in the sky peaks November 16. The stakes are high for Trump. If the Republicans lose control of the Senate and Congress his last 2 years in the White House will be a nightmare and his high-discord Saturn progressions incline towards loss and disappointment. If he loses he will be furious: a very unwise emotional state for a person of his age.
