June 24: In South Korea a lithium battery factory (Uranus) was set on fire (Mars) after multiple batteries exploded (Mars) killing at least 22 people and injuring eight.

June 25: In Kenya protests (Uranus) against controversial tax reforms (house 8-Uranus) turn violent (Mars) when police (Mars) fire on protestors (Uranus) trying to storm Parliament House, killing at least 5.

In Israel the Supreme Court (house 9-Jupiter) rules unanimously that the military (Mars) must begin drafting ultra-Orthodox men (Saturn) for military service (house 6).

June 26: In Kenya President William Ruto makes a sudden and unexpected backdown (Uranus) and withdraws his planned tax hikes a day after clashes between police (Mars) and protesters (Uranus) left at least 23 people dead and scores wounded across the country.

In Bolivia armed forces (Mars-house 6) pull back from the presidential palace in a failed uprising (Uranus) after leaders from around the world blasted the army’s actions as illegal.

July 16: In Peru a bus crash in the Andes mountains kills at least 23 people and injures more than a dozen others.

July 18: In Bangladesh thirteen people are killed as thousands of students (Mercury) armed with sticks and rocks clash with armed police (Mars) in the worst day of anti-quota protests (Uranus) since the violent unrest (Mars-Uranus) began two weeks ago.

July 16-18: In a remote region of Papua New Guinea at least 26 people, including 16 children, are killed in ‘shocking’ (Uranus) violence (Mars) as a result of a land ownership (Saturn) disputer (Mars).

July 22: In a rare gun-violence incident (Mars) in northwestern Croatia five people are shot dead and six others are wounded by a gunman in a private nursing home (house 12).

In Canada a raging wildfire (Mars) hits the town of Jasper in the Canadian Rockies, causing ‘significant’ losses (Saturn) as firefighters (Mars) work to hold back the flames.

According to the European climate change service the record for the world’s hottest day (Mars) has tumbled twice in one week with the global average surface air temperature reaching 17.15C on July 21.

In the UK three girls (house 5) are killed and five children and two adults injured in a ferocious knife attack (Mars) at a children’s dance workshop (Venus-house 5) in Southport.

July 30: In retaliation (Mars) for a cross-border rocket attack (Mars) that killed 12 children Israel’s military (Mars) claims it killed Hezbollah’s most senior commander in an airstrike on Beirut.

In California the largest wildfire (Mars) in the US swells to over 600 square miles, bigger than the city of Los Angeles, as more than 5,500 firefighters (Mars) battle the blaze (Mars) in a wilderness area north of Sacramento.

August 2: According to its Meteorological Agency Japan experienced its hottest (Mars) July in recorded history with temperatures 2.16 degrees Celsius higher than average, the hottest since records began in 1898.
