January 5: The US Supreme Court (house 9) agrees to hear Donald Trump’s appeal of a judicial decision barring him from Colorado’s Republican primary ballot.

January 25: The World Court (Jupiter-house 9) orders Israel to prevent acts of genocide against the Palestinians and do more to help civilians, stopping short of ordering a ceasefire as requested by the plaintiff South Africa.

January 28: The world’s largest cruise ship (Jupiter) sets sail from Miami, Florida, on its maiden voyage (Uranus) making a seven-day island-hopping voyage (Neptune-house 9) in the Caribbean.

February 15: Greece becomes the first orthodox country (Saturn) to legalize same-sex marriage in a landmark victory for supporters of LGBT rights (Uranus).

February 28: In America the Supreme Court (Jupiter-house 9) agrees to decide Donald Trump’s claim of immunity from prosecution for trying to overturn his 2020 election loss with the case set for oral argument during the week of April 22.

March 4: In France lawmakers (house 11-Jupiter) in a world first (Uranus) overwhelmingly vote 780-72 to approve a bill that will enshrine the right to an abortion in the Constitution of France (house 9). France became the first country to explicitly include the right to abortion in its constitution.

In America the Supreme Court (house 9-Jupiter) in a unanimous ruling rejects and effort by Colorado to remove Donald Trump’s name from the state’s Republican primary ballot using an anti-insurrection constitutional clause. The ruling also overrides challenges brought in other states.

March 10: After several rounds of negotiations spanning 16 years India signs a $100bn free trade agreement (Jupiter) with a four-member European bloc and will lift most import tariffs (Saturn) on industrial products from these countries in return for the investment over 15 years.

March 11: In India the Modi government (Sun-house 10) announces the implementation of the 2019 Citizen Amendment Act (Jupiter). It grants Indian nationality to Hindus, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Christians who fled to Hindu-majority India due to religious persecution (Jupiter-Uranus) from Muslim-majority Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan before December 31, 2014 and was not implemented in 2019 when protests (Uranus) and sectarian violence (Mars) broke out in New Delhi and scores were killed and hundreds injured.

April 6: US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen (Jupiter-house 2) is in China (house 7) addressing US concerns about China’s excess (Jupiter) manufacturing (Mars) capacity.
