A major progressed planet moving through a sign or house brings about a structural change in your astral body. It acts as a radio receiving terminal for picking up its astral vibrations and transmits them to the region and compartment of your astral body mapped by the sign and house.
It’s likely the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars and ascendant and Midheaven in your birth chart have changed their sign and house positions.
Their birth chart sign gives their corresponding desire-urge an attitude-motivation and when they progress into a new sign they gradually adopt its attitude-motivation. It’s a major astrological event.

The planets by their sign positions in your birth chart indicate the health status of the thought-cells in each region of your astral body which is replicated in the health status of the physical cells in the corresponding region of your physical body.
Deviations to this birth chart trend occur when a planet changes its sign position or forms a major progressed aspect with a birth chart or other major progressed planet.
The normal trend of activity of each sign during a given period can be gauged from your normal progressed chart. It’s important data in regard to your physical health.
The planets by their house positions in your birth chart indicate each department of life’s normal trend of activity. They can be active and important or inactive and unimportant and can travel a course that is smooth and fortunate or rough and unfortunate.
Deviations to this birth chart trend occur when a planet changes its house position or forms a major progressed aspect with a birth chart or other major progressed planet.
The normal trend of activity of each department of life during a given period may be gauged by your normal major progressed chart.
The harmony or discord scores of each sign or house of your normal progressed chart on a given date reveal if the inner-world (astrological) weather conditions influencing each region of your physical body (sign) and each department of life (house) are harmonious or discordant.
How to calculate your normal progressed chart
Step 1: Refer to your birth chart’s Planet power summary and divide each planet’s birth chart power by 2; and the birth chart power of the Moon by 14.
Step 2: Refer to your birth chart's Planet power summary and divide each planets birth chart harmony or discord by 2; and the birth chart harmony or discord of the Moon by 14. Note these figures for easy reference.
Step 3: Add the progressed power of each planet that has progressed into a sign or house to its birth chart power.
Step 4: Add the progressed harmony or discord of each planet that has progressed into a sign or house to its birth chart harmony or discord.
Step 5: List the progressed sign and house power totals in descending power order along with their harmony or discord scores.
Your normal progressed chart allows you to view variations in sign and house activity as the planets progress.
When a harmonious planet progresses into a sign or house it increases its harmony or decreases its discord. And when a discordant planet progresses into a sign or house it increases its discord or decreases its harmony.
Your normal progressed chart tends to stay the same for many years and should be recalculated whenever a major progressed planet changes its sign or house position.
The normal power and harmony or discord of a sign or house indicates its normal course of activity with no marked variation until a major progressed aspect adds accessory energy to its thought-cells. The progressed aspect not only supplies the thought-cells with more energy it stimulates them to use it.
Retrograde planets
If a planet in your birth chart is retrograde it can indicate a repression. Its corresponding unconscious urge is dammed up and has difficulty finding a free flow of expression. It’s an impediment that can afflict your character. But if it turns direct its repressed energy can be released and it’s no longer a handicap.
And if a progressed planet turns retrograde its desire-urge can become repressed. It usually coincides with an unfortunate-painful experience which your objective consciousness blocks by repressing all memory of the experience into your unconscious mind. The painful feelings associated with the experience are repressed or dammed up and unable to access your objective consciousness.
Care is required when assessing a retrograde planet; and once the cause of the repression is identified it’s easily corrected.
