Explainer: Forecast periods in global astrology
The major events that get the news media’s attention each day replicate the quality of the astral energies being released by the planets in the sky, the major cycle charts and the Aquarian Age chart. The dominant planetary energies place their signatures on events and trends here on Earth.
The world in May 2023
In America, with progressed Moon sesquisquare birth chart Sun and progressed Sun sesquisquare progressed Saturn in its chart and Jupiter square Pluto in the sky writing a highly discordant script, Democrat and Republican negotiators squabbled over raising the federal $31.4 trillion debt ceiling (Saturn-house 8) and Republican states pushed a surge of laws (Jupiter-house 9) targeting transgender people.
With Mars opposition Pluto in the sky the battle for Bakhmut – the longest and bloodiest battle of the 15-month war – raged on in Ukraine; artillery fire in Sudan pounded the outer areas of Khartoum trapping civilians in a humanitarian crisis with more than one million people displaced; the Arab League welcomed back Syria (Lower-Pluto) after a 12 year suspension; Amnesty International reported that executions were on the increase; and wildfires in Canada swept across Alberta and British Colombia.
In Russia (Lower-Pluto) the country’s Interior Ministry placed International Criminal Court (Jupiter) prosecutor Karim Kahn and several other judges (Jupiter) on a wanted list; and in Pakistan ousted leader Imran Kahn was arrested on corruption charges igniting a storm of violent protest (Uranus) and two days later his arrest was declared illegal by the Supreme Court (Jupiter).
In Kenya, with Jupiter square Pluto in the sky in April, news of a religious starvation death cult (Pluto) broke and in May the death toll continued to rise with over 200 bodies exhumed.
In America Geoffrey Hinton, a pioneer of artificial intelligence, announced he had left Google so he could speak freely about the technology’s dangers; and the United Nations weather agency warned that the next five years could be the hottest ever recorded on Earth and that the world might also temporarily hit a key threshold for global warming, driven by the combination of greenhouse gas emissions and an El Niño weather pattern.
And in Myanmar and Bangladesh hundreds of people were killed when Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm Mocha, packing winds of up to 209 kilometers per hour, made landfall and wrecked destruction.
