February 22: The US Supreme Court refuses Trump’s last-chance efforts to shield his private financial records from Manhattan’s district attorney and his tax returns are handed over.
According to the Washington Post’s fact checker Donald Trump made 30,573 false or misleading claims as president, nearly half in his final year in office.
As scholars consider the legacy of Donald J. Trump, it appears that even the woefully inadequate James Buchanan has some serious competition.
June 30: In a survey by 142 presidential historians Donald Trump is not the worst president in U.S. history. He’s the fourth worst. He came in ahead of Franklin Pearce, Andrew Jackson and James Buchanan who came in last.
