Current sign transits of the major planets

Pluto in Capricorn

Pluto, the planet of cooperation, coercion, groups, collusion, lobbyists and drastic developments, moved to Capricorn on November 27, 2008 and will stay there till January 2024. Capricorn rules business, business systems, government administration and diplomacy. So Pluto’s cooperation, coercion, crime and corruption is influencing and expressing through government administration and the business practices of the corporations and multinationals.

The big corporation already has the most power. There’s corruption in high places – money can buy anything and anyone – and the fanatical pursuit of higher profits. Exploitive corporate power could undermine the democratic process. The road the world takes should be determined by democratically elected governments, but democracy will come under threat as people elected governments are disempowered and controlled by the big corporations and their accountants and lawyers. This is no secret. The wheels have already been set in motion – governments are being disempowered. The secretive corporate world already wields a great deal of coercive control and illegitimate (non-elected) power.

Neptune in Pisces

Neptune, the planet of schemes, utopian idealism, drugs, oil, involuntary servitude, spies, lies and deception, moved to Pisces on April 4, 2011 – moved back to Aquarius on August 5, 2011 – and commenced its 24 year transit of Pisces on February 3, 2012. It will be there till March 30, 2025. Pisces rules restriction, disappointment, relief measures, crime, slavery and rivers. So Neptune’s fantasy thinking, rose colored view of the world, desire for easy wealth, escape addictions, enslavement, undercover intelligence gathering, great expectations and hocus-pocus is influencing and expressing through disappointment, restriction, slavery, non-violent crime and the world’s rivers.

The desire for easy wealth is driving the white collar criminal to engage in fraud and deceit. What’s really going on is beyond the imagination. And the pharmaceutical industry is promising a quick fix for your mental and physical pain, but you could be disappointed. Neptune can sell fantasy to a hard-headed realist. There have already been instances of modern day slavery – of people being held captive against their will – that have shocked the world. Slavery is booming in the 21st-century and so is the spy industry. And the oil producers are manipulating the supply of the liquid gold. Neptune’s transit of Pisces signs for utopian relief schemes to help those suffering hardship but the great expectations easily evaporate into disappointment. And the desire for easy money makes people slaves to their own foibles and easy targets for the fraudsters, swindlers and con-men.

Uranus in Aries

Uranus, the planet of extremism, radical politics, freedom-fighting, demonstrations, exposé, reform movements and cataclysmic change, moved to Aries on March 12, 2011 and commenced an 8 year transit of the sign that rules manufacturing, militants and military activity. It signaled the start of The Arab Spring. And Uranus – the planet that rules extreme events, democracy, sensational revelations, rebellions, revolutions, strikes and sudden, unexpected developments – is influencing and expressing through militant activity, military moves and the manufacturing sector. It will be there till May 15, 2018.

Rebellions and revolutions have already seen some dictators deposed. The soul’s desire for freedom causes it to take up arms in pursuit of liberty and democracy. The manufacturing sector is being reformed although the reform process is not obvious and not inclined to be top of the news queue. And every time there’s a sensational exposé that’s Uranus doing his thing. There’s widespread discontent that easily erupts into militant protests and demonstrations

Saturn in Sagittarius

Saturn, the planet of selfishness, conservatism, fundamentalism, restriction, rear-vision thinking, loss and hardship, moved to Sagittarius on September 18, 2015 and commenced a 27 month transit of the sign that rules religion, the law, tourism and the public expression of opinion. It signs for fundamentalist religious teachings, losses for the religious sector, conservative legal trends, constraints on tourism due to terrorism and health fears, and restrictions on the public expression of opinion via the internet and other social media. Saturn will be in Scorpio till December 20, 2017. It’s no secret that the world’s orthodox religions have big problems. And Saturn’s transit of Sagittarius will exacerbate the problems.

Jupiter in Libra

Jupiter, the planet of finance, abundance, expansion, banks, financial institutions, commerce, arbitration, the courts, advertising, religion, hope, optimism, goodwill, ships and treaties, moved to Libra on September 9, 2016 and commenced a 12 month transit of the sign that rules marriage, divorce, justice and war. Jupiter – the planet of plenty, good fortune and unbridled optimism – will influence these matters till October 11, 2017.

There’s a theory that the influence of a major planet’s transit of a zodiac sign will be felt directly by the countries ruled by the sign. So those countries ruled by Capricorn are the ones most inclined to experience Pluto’s influence; those ruled by Pisces are more likely to feel Neptune’s influence; and those ruled by Aries are more inclined to experience the impact of Uranus. Those countries ruled by Sagittarius are the ones most likely to bear the brunt of Saturn’s economic hardship and suffering; and those ruled by Virgo/Libra are more inclined to bask in the warmth of Jupiter’s expansion and prosperity. But because the sign rulership of each country is unknown the theory can’t be tested. And determining a country’s sign rulership isn’t easy so there’s a lot of work to be done.
